Description:
This expressionist and deeply symbolic composition represents the process of Alchimia—understood as a spiritual transformation through the sacred union of complementary principles.

At the center of the painting, a couple is depicted in an intimate embrace. Their stylized bodies appear fused together and painted in golden hues, like precious metals in the midst of fusion. The couple sits within the cup of a lotus flower, a classical symbol of purity, rebirth, and the alchemical vessel in which transformation occurs.

They are enveloped in a vortex of radiant energy rendered through thick, textured brushstrokes of yellow and gold (impasto technique). Above them, a celestial star showers them with divine light, fueling the process of transformation. From their unified hearts emerge blossoms of light, representing the spiritual fruit of this sacred union.

The painting is a visual allegory of coniunctio, the sacred alchemical marriage, where the merging of polarities—masculine and feminine—gives rise to a new state of consciousness: illuminated, transcendent, and creative.
