Description:
This work is an allegory of spiritual liberation, rendered in a decorative style reminiscent of medieval illuminated manuscripts and Art Nouveau aesthetics. The composition is framed by a gothic arch, suggesting a window into a sacred reality.
Inside the arch, set against a richly adorned background of golden vegetal motifs (arabesques), an angel is depicted with large wings and stylized robes in flowing shades of pink and violet. The angel radiates a contemplative presence. From the center of its chest emanates a star-like light, symbolizing an act initiated from the core of its being.
The angel's gaze is directed toward a winged golden heart floating nearby. This central symbol—representing the title’s message—is a metaphor: liberation ("liber eris"), embodied by wings, is the direct consequence of opening the heart ("aperi cor tuum").
A visual meditation on inner freedom, emotional release, and spiritual awakening, the painting invites the viewer to introspection and soulful connection.
