Description:
This large panoramic allegorical composition presents a vivid and symbolic narrative. The scene is set in a vibrant landscape—an endless field of wildflowers under a golden sunrise or sunset sky.

At the center stands a young male knight clad in metallic armor. His posture is one of forward movement, with a contemplative or resolute expression. In accordance with the title, he may symbolize virtue, reason, or the quest for self-mastery.

Surrounding him is a multitude of feminine figures—most nude—who resemble nymphs, muses, or personifications of earthly temptations. These figures appear in various poses: some reaching toward him, others reclining among the flowers, and some simply gazing at him. This creates a dynamic and symbolically charged tension between spirit (the knight) and matter (nature and temptation).

The painting style is figurative, with an almost impressionistic treatment of the floral field—rendered through energetic, richly colored brushstrokes. A warm, diffused light unifies the entire scene, giving it a dreamlike, mythological atmosphere.
